Forms of Formalism ist eine Plattform (Ausstellung + Buch), die fotografische Arbeiten und schriftliche Beiträge um den Begriff des Formalismus sammelt. Die erste Ausgabe enthält Fotoserien von Louis De Belle, Clemens Radloff und Michael Paul Romstöck, sowie Essays von Frederike Lausch, Elisa Ghisi und Laura Zorzi. Das Buch wurde anlässlich der gleichnamigen Ausstellung in der Vitrine Galerie (Weimar, Dezember 2014) präsentiert.

»What is formalism? The question arises spontaneously. And even though a dictionary would quickly address our etymological concerns, sooner or later art, philosophy, literature, music and mathematics would be taken into account. The humble aim of our exhibition together with this printed matter is to offer an interdisciplinary platform: a dialogue stage that, prompted by the fruitful dichotomy between text and image, gathers photographic works together with written contributions around the notion of formalism. […] In the grey area between form and meaning, we hope these points of view will trigger questions and provide food for thought.«
