Die Mehrheit bekannter Cartoonfiguren wie Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny oder Garfield, sind aufgrund wachsender Märkte und Profitökonomien durch ihre eigenen Schöpfer ausgebeutet und mißbraucht worden. So stellt sich also die Frage, ob die Erscheinungs-
form eines solchen Charakters, der seiner Seele beraubt worden ist, immernoch die Richtige ist. Logischer Weise ist für diese armen Figuren die Zeit des Verfalls längst angebrochen.
Im Anatomischen, wie auch im historischen Sinn. Also habe ich ihnen die kuscheligen Schafsfelle über die Ohren gezogen um eine ehrliche und kohärente Erscheinungform für unsere ehemaligen Helden zu finden.
Mit tierischen Knochen, zahntechnischem Material, Graupappe, Gipsbinden, Gummiringen, 24 Karat Blattgold und anderem natürlichem Stoffen wie Sojasoße erschaffen, zeichnet auch die habtische Erfahrbarkeit ein Bild der anderen Seite. Der grausamen und unwiederruflichen Wahrheit unserer Existenz und der Vergänglichkeit unserer Kindheitshelden.
The majority of cartoon idols like mickey mouse, bugs bunny or garfield, have been abused and exploited by their very own creators due to growing markets and profit gains since we can remember. So ask yourself if the appearance of them is still the right one in anatomic terms or also the right appearance for a character that has become a product and sold his soul. Logically, for those idols it is time to decay and I frazzled away the cosy sheepskin to reveal a honest and coherent visitation of those cartoon zombies.
A mouse lives about two to three years,.. somtimes even longer, the appearance has to change. Mickey mouse, invented by walt as a temporary solution in the year 1928, can`t appear the way it does since 90 years. Also garfield, a bit younger, is not looking so fresh anymore after having british lasagna the last 40 years. So using bones, dental technician odds and ends and other Material has felt as logical to me as the fact that soj sauce brings a wonderful effect of dry, old rancid blood on the boney toons.
