With Halvar Mono, Halvar’s duplexed approach to individual characters is given clearer form — now every character in each of its nine weights occupies the same width. Built on Halvar’s balanced medium weight, this monospaced typeface is practical and precise across data, tables and technical systems; steady and dependable in demanding pixel and print applications.

With industrial charm and mechanical design, Halvar Mono combines typographic system and function in a single package for those who value the structure and elegance of monospaced designs.
Halvar’s styles have German names and multilingual ambitions. Its character set includes extended Latin, Greek and Cyrillic and supports more than 190 languages. Perfect for cross-market branding. To ensure TypeMates’ usual high standards throughout all glyphs, the Cyrillic and Greek letterforms were developed in consultation with native readers.

A font system this comprehensive is shipped with standard figures, circled highlights, superscripts, as well as fractions. Alternate characters let Halvar Mono toggle between two additional stylistic sets: one plain and functional, another distinct and digital.

With manual TrueType hinting and special attention to text styles, a stable x-height, contemporary proportions and a robust design, Halvar Mono is optimised for screen performance and ready to meet any challenge in user interface typography.
