hs ad agency (seoul) pulled all forces together with the director matthias zentner, velvet’s production team, and our strong vfx department to give birth to the new generation of LG Optimus cellphones.
we took our rich experience in sfx shooting, beauty, life action and expertise in liquid and particle vfx to reach another level.
the result is a slick, stylish, powerful and elegant output featuring LG Optimus L7, L5, L3 phones and the outstanding LG optimus 3d max phone in two ’30 commercials.
the phones are one of the slimmest and lightest android smart-phones worldwide. they also feature the big and the world’s brightest display – NOVA – able to reproduce the real white tones under the 50% less energy consumption compared with the usual LCDs.
black meets silver is the motto of the campaign. smart meets style meets big meets optimus meets velvet, the director matthias zentner developed an artisitc metaphorical approach for this immersive beauty and elegance.
in a magical way he combines the unseen force of CGI work with real life shooting and enhanced a graphical treatment to the shots.
the optimus 3D max is a cell phone eagerly awaited by the mobile world! driven by the force of the majestic black horses galloping in a high-speed towards the phone, they transform into a big black wave giving the phone its characteristic color. it’s a moment of 3D touching the phone! a woman emerges from the display’s surface in her liquid dress, like a vivid sculpture presenting the 3D feature based on the conversion of the 2D material into stereoscopic images.
smart meets power meets 3d.
LG optimus series debuted barcelona’s mobile world congress this monday, the 27th of february, and will begin with the retail sails in early spring.
both movies are shot using alexa plus and phantom hd cameras in studios in bangkok, including high speed motion images shot at the speed of 2000/fps.
